First adopted by the United States Army in 1973, generations of young soldiers came to love (and sometimes hat humping ALICE. ALICE of course not being the local stripper trying to secure some of that sweet, sweet BAH, but instead the "All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment". The all in one system included the soldier's entire webbing gear, pouches, buttpacks and rucksacks. While many soldiers would be to differ, it was indeed a lot more lightweight than previously issued canvas webbings as it featured an innovated nylon construction and simple to use plastic ALICE clips. Gone now were the days of heavy canvas and metal clips. While the ALICE system was eventually superseded by the modern MOLLE gear systems, it still holds a place in the hearts of many old-school warriors who used it over it's four decades of service.
Constructed from nylon in the US All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment (ALICE) system, this extremely tough but remarkably lightweight webbing is constructed from older LC2 variation pistol belt. The belt itself is fully adjustable and able to be cinched down as need. The whole thing is kept together and held up with padded LC1 yoke, making this a great utilitarian rig you can adapt to any use. Any pouches with ALICE clips can be easily added giving you a full battle rattle on the cheap!
All are graded as very serviceable and clean Grade 1s!

Belts Phased Out For a Reason
First- the historical "Y" suspenders are as simple and robust as it gets, with positive mounting to the belt and/or buttpack and a wide range of adjustability. Good to go here. Second: the belts themselves are of stout construction and good adjustability. HOWEVER: those LC-2 'clip' style buckles are garbage- they will snap with no notice, especially after years in uncertain storage and usage history. Additionally, if these belts get ground into mud or heavy sand the buckle won't work at all- no 'wiggle room'. Back in the mid 90s I broke two in short order and searched until I found the old school brass 'knob and latch' model. The replacement for these LC-2 belts uses a large Fastex buckle system that has proven itself in the field, both reliable and usability in mucky conditions.

Works Great for Surveying
I bought 2 sets 1 for home use and one for use in the field for survey work I've fit 2 MOLLE dump pouches to hold survey items as I do alot of standing around site so it's nice to have the load properly distributed while I use a summer survey vest under the webbing
