Born in the jungles of Southeast Asia, this our take on the legendary "green-dom" ERDL pattern—the camouflage that defined a generation of combat gear. First developed in 1948, it saw early and sporadic issue as an early camouflage pattern for US forces in Vietnam, with notable usage by Special Forces units, and LRRP teams throughout the mid-1960s. It was later adopted as standard issue by the U.S. Marine Corps in 1968 and soon after was adopted the U.S. Army, this green-dominant "leaf" pattern moved from specialized units to the uniforms of nearly every service member by the war's end. Crafted for our shirts, pants, and hats from premium lightweight rip-stop cotton, this fabric honors the heritage of the iconic Tropical Combat Uniform as used in the Vietnam years. The pattern you see here carries its unique history in every print, including the slight roller-slippage inconsistencies found in early production runs—a mark of its authentic, wartime origin. Beyond standard issue, ERDL saw action on official aviation coveralls, commercial hunting gear, and even tailor-made uniforms used on classified "sanitized" missions. It was worn by U.S. Special Operations, Air Force and Navy aviators, and allied forces like the Australian and New Zealand SAS.
