The legendary M81 woodland so iconic, almost everyone thinks of it first when considering the concept “camouflage”. First adopted in 1981 after years experimentation, this pattern served to replace the decades old olive drab uniforms that were well past their glory days. The pattern itself features four natural colours in shades of green and dark brown in a manner very similar to it's ERDL predecessor of Vietnam War fame. With many decades of development behind it, it's no surprise that the M81 pattern still works!
What better way to rock this pattern than a legit, deadstock poncho liner, in brand spankin’ new condition. Whether you call it a woobie, poncho liner, or ranger blanket, the M81 variant is the favourite of servicemen for a reason, providing great utility and comfort as a lightweight blanket, or adding insulation for US GI ponchos. Variants were made for military forces all around the world, including several contracts for the Canadian Armed Forces, prior to the adoption of the revised zippered CADPAT ranger blanket.
