The jacket that literally saves millions from freezing to death, can be used to keep your ass from freezing in the winter months.

These original Soviet Army issue Telogrieka Padded Field Jackets were first introduced during the Second World War, adapted from jackets observed in use by the Finnish Army during the Winter War. "Telogreika" literally means "body warmer" in Russia, and these jackets did exactly that, with a layer of wool sewn into a thick cotton padding. The jackets were intended to be worn in cold weather conditions over service tunics, allow the wearer a degree of warm without compromising mobility as heavier greatcoats proved to be quite cumbersome to fight in. Due to some Slavic magic, these were literally issued in the millions and even found their way into civilian use in large numbers.

From the frontlines to the gulags, the Telogreika was a common sight in mother Russia. Each Telogreika features a short collar indicating it as a late or post-war production, however, most of the tags and stamps have completely faded making them difficult to precisely date. They feature the heavyweight cotton padding construction, an extremely effective wool lining, and very ergonomic external buttons. It additionally features two external hand pockets at the waist, and internal pocket at the left breast, and a cinching belt at the rear. These incredible jackets are an awesome historical piece, that still works as a winter jacket and is unsurprisingly still seen worn throughout the former Soviet Union.

Despite massive production and surplus numbers, they are getting tougher to come by in North America/Europe due to economic sanctions against Russia. These incredible jackets were liberated from a small cache near Moscow after some painstaking effort. Unfortunately, they are only available in extremely limited sizes and this is unlikely to change given that Soviet troops tended to be quite a bit smaller than us 21st-century monsters.
