Reproduction of the standard "ARMY" regulation nametape, that identified a wearer of the Rhodesian Army, from 1965-1979. Sewn exclusively onto combat dress (Rhodesian Brushstroke) during the Rhodesian Bush War, it was an extremely common sight during the Bush War.

It was sewn approximately 0.75-1 inch above the wearer's right hand breast pocket on field shirts, typically with a khaki colored thread. Bush War examples show that the "ARMY" nametape was common place on many field shirts, though with varying degrees of quality on the sewing work. While not visible in all instances of photographic evidence, it seems to have been somewhat standardized at higher level commands, particularly among army servicemen who served at battalion, commando, regimental or brigade levels.

Overall, this simple but important wartime insignia is a must have for serious re-enactors, and a perfect way to "spruce up" a Rhodesian Brushstroke shirt!
