Description

In the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden, British forces burned nearly all captured Jacobite standards, bearing the various clan crests and rebel colors of the defeated Scottish troops. Only one has survived into the modern day, the flag of Lord Ogivly, Earl of Airlie - a staunch Jacobite supporter. Oral histories tell of a Captain John Kinloch, who saved the beloved regimental colors by hiding them away as Hannoverian troops burned all other standards in Edinburgh in 1746. Bearing the now ubiquitous Latin motto of the Scots warrior, translating to "No One Strikes Me With Impunity", the original flag still survives at the McManus Gallery, in Dundee.

Produced in the standard 2x3" size with hook velcro backing, identical in specification to milspec flag patches.
