The official flag of the Imperial state of Iran, adopted in 1907 but with seals featuring the lion and sun dating back as far as the 12th century. The symbol is steeped in history and mythology, representing the identity of Persia in the cradle of civilization. It soon came to represent the Persian monarchy, which had existed for almost 2,500 consecutive years before the Islamic Revolution of 1979. We've had a few requests for this one, surprisingly and we figured we'd oblige, since it's a pretty neat one!Standard 3x5' polyester flag, with two brass rings.
