Country of Origin:
The Finnish M62 pattern was adopted approximately in 1962 as indicated by the designation, and adopted by their armed forces during the uneasy period of Finnish Cold War neutrality. Designed in a wide variety of shades possibly for use in different seasonal conditions. The pattern continued to see service with Finnish conscript troops until the drawdown of the Cold War in the 1990s, before finally being phased out of reserve use in the early 2000s. The M62 pattern prominently features midsized khaki and brown blobs, on either a darker or lighter green backing, creating an interesting pattern scheme that developed the similarly blotchy M05 patterns currently issued. Given the winter landscape of Finland, the M62 pattern also featured a reversible solid white interior when printing, for use in snowy conditions.
These overpants feature the funky reversible M62 pattern in a variety of shades, that we've tried our best to grade into darker and lighter variants. They may also feature a variety of modifications, alterations, or small repairs due to their long service life as Finnish Army issue. Intended to be worn over trousers or long johns, they feature faux thru-pockets to allow you to access inside the trouser for whatever goodies you have stuffed inside. They also feature a single buttoned cargo pocket on each reversible side, facing right when worn.
Grab the Suomi folks! These pants are a pretty uncommon piece of very funky kit, with lots of life still left in them!
