Description
Come out ye cuckold! Cuckolds, we come!"
Cary's regiment was raised in 1643 was a Royalist aligned regiment during the English Civil War. Cary had previously led a Parliamentary infantry unit, until defecting to royalist forces to raise the regiment. The use of "cuckold" as a taunt is directed at the manhoods all Parliamentarian roundheads and Essex. The regiment saw several engagements during the English Civil War, including the Siege of Bristol in 1645 as the tides of the war turned against the royalist cause. The regiment was also present during the Siege of Oxford the following year which saw the surrender of royalist forces in an effort to spare the city. The unit was disbanded upon the Parliamentarian victory and the history of Cary's regiment remained obscure for several centuries.
In 2018, when individuals associated with Fireforce Ventures were accused of being evil super-Nazis for using the term "cuck", Cary's flag was shown to investigating authorities in the Canadian military. The term was proven to be a generic insult, rather than a neo-Nazi war cry. Despite the wailing of certain "professional journalism", history won the day and no one associated with Fireforce Ventures to date has evil faced disciplinary action or charges by the Canadian military, or any other party.
Given our interest in military history, and our rather unique associate with the flag, we are proud to reproduce this banner in a high quality decal. Cary's regiment lives on, cuckolds we come!
Produced in the standard 2x3" size with hook velcro backing, identical in specification to milspec flag patches.
